A hands-on cooking program designed to teach teenagers and young adults essential life skills in the kitchen before they leave home for college, university, or independent living.
Programs will provide students with practical skills to prepare simple, affordable, and healthy meals they can cook independently.

The vision
The Back Home Kitchen is a safe, welcoming place where people can learn practical home cooking without pressure. We are not a fancy culinary school but instead a public out reach to teach real people, real food!
Our mission is to inspire everyone of all skill levels to want to cook at home. If you have always wanted to learn how to cook and never knew where to start you have already found exactly where you need to be.
Please be patient with us as we grow in the beginning, we do not yet have a dedicated location and are working on ironing out the details!
The Founder
Hi, I’m Dakoda but you can call me Koda,
I created The Back Home Kitchen as a way to share my love of food with others! My whole life I have been blessed with opportunities to learn from amazing chefs and home cooks, so I never really knew how much of an advantage in the kitchen I had until I left home. I don't have any formal training as a chef, but I was fortunate enough to be raised by two amazing home cooks and I have a lot of passion for food. My goal is to spread that passion to the people who think that they can't cook. I just can't accept that, everyone can and should learn to cook! I want to be the guy that shows you it can actually be a lot of fun, and very satisfying to make amazing food at home!

We are currently seeking: cutting boards, chef knives, pots, pans, measuring utensils, reusable dining sets, table clothes and aprons!
